Jennifer's Body and other horror films

Jennifer's Body is truly a horrible, horrible film! It is almost so painful to watch, that I cannot believe how bad this film was. It may indeed be one of the world's worst films ever made! Though it is so bad that it is almost laughable in parts. In fact I would got so far as to recommend the film if you were incredibly inebriated and/or stoned.Though personally I cannot advocate drugs use...Alcohol use on the other hand I have no problem with! So drink 'em if you got 'em. This film was replete with Bad acting, even worse dialogue and Megan Fox can't do anything but look hot! Proving that the girl cannot even act her way out of a change of clothes. I have no idea what sort of a horror film this was supposed to be. A lot of the cast looked either way too young to be in high school, or way too old to be in high school. Like Megan Fox, who plays vapid much the way fly paper would. Her best friend Needy ( can you believe that name?!) played by Amanda Seyfried isn't much better, as she is way too nerdy to be any one's friend, much less have a boyfriend in High School. Girls like her are alone and virgins til way after college and they start they careers as librarians or secretaries when they feel their biological clock ticking and grab unto the first guy who comes unto them out of pure desperation! The supporting cast is even more dismal as they are worse than teen movie stereotypes, they aren't attractive at all, and they can't act either. It's like the casting director hiring all the siblings and kids of his closest friends or people he wanted to bang!

Which reminds me, both Amanda Seyfried and Kyle Gallner have been in several things together, like Veronica Mars, Big Love and now Jennifer's Body. Which makes me wonder what sort of things they are doing to keep getting hiring together?! Either way I hope they were paid well for this piece of crap because the film itself will do nothing for their respective careers. I mean it's not even a true horror film to begin with since it's rated PG-13, which I think is a recent Hollywood trend that needs to die a horrible and painful death. Horror films are not supposed to be PG-13, as it completely defeats the purpose of a (true) horror film. Horror films are specifically made or should be made for adult eyes only. Now I am not personally a fan of horror films, as I simply do not enjoy watching some psycho or demon run around killing stupid cheerleaders, but they do have their place within the wide spectrum of cinema.

The film itself doesn't even seem to know what sort of film it wishes to be. There is a demonic Rock Indie band fronted by Adam Brody, a little bit of girl on girl action out of nowhere ( that is not as stimulating as it should or could be!), underage sex, underage drinking, super powers Ala X-Men, a mental hospital break out, and a whole plethora of other bits of random teen angst.
