Pandorum: Looks like a remake of Eden Log

From the initial trailers and information released for Pandorum, I got the impression that it was the American remake of Eden Log. A film from France about the impending destruction of mankind because of a lack of natural resources and overpopulation, and the sinister methods the government implements in order to staunch the earth's ultimate destruction.
